Tuesday ? early riser catch the train from Lee to newX to do my therapeutic art class ? very broad remit and so I just set down to invent some image from my own imaginings? ?the house full of wire? the house full of wire is on my street just down on the corner ? I became convinced of it being full of wire because there was always a BT van parked up outside and there was evidence of wire on a drain cover in the middle of the road outside ? I predicted that the piece of wire in the drain cover would stay there for all eternity but like most predictions this was wrong ? the wire has gone and it could only have been retrieved by a wire loving monkey or a BT engineer ? the house full of wire still stands testament in silence ? nobody seems to live there ? I think the route planning of wire to circuits has gone multi-ganglial in our area and the only way to solve the problem was to buy a house and put all the connexions in there ? more room than the little spaghetti bunkers? dark green ? no bills.
with a large sheet of paper in front of me I bottled and got a scrap to make the plan of the drawing which tho fast looked ok so then I moved into attack mode with a 3B pencil, a stick of prussian blue pastel, a plastic eraser and my mouth and fingers
lots of lines ? some delineation of fake depth ? more lines and large areas drawn then erased then drawn again then erased again
my tutor thought it was basquiat-esque ? it was certainly striking and a bit disturbing ? I went for a cigarette when I thought it was finished ? an hour of the class yet to go and figured the results pretty minimal and pleasing and on my return proceeded to draw in more detail and then erase it until the crunch came
the first sketch had something about it ? ghostly erasure in right measure leaving a spooky effect so I thought I would use words on the main picture ? I wrote ?pure? ?history? ?wash wash wash? ?didja get any onja? more words little meaning but the hotbed of the tangle of wires in the centre immediately became malevolent and spooked me out even more
I have left both drawings in the drawer at the lesson because I think I?ll be doing the same next week but in a different medium ? if not I will scan the small sketch for your perusal
any how I then got the train down to ladywell to have my bloods taken ? I?m a regular at ?the blood club? now? I still want to steal a CLOZARIL mug to go with my disorder but didn?t get the chance
